Tokyo Love Hotels: Shinjuku and Shibuya Areas, Addresses and Stay Tips

Looking for a love hotel in Tokyo? Start with the area you are already in, then check the exact branch address, room plan and guest rules. This guide separates Shinjuku and Shibuya examples, so similarly named hotels and advertised starting prices do not become a guessing game.

Official sources checked: 22 September 2026. These are accommodation examples, not a ranked “best hotels” list. No stay, room inspection, English-language support test or live availability check was performed.

Choose an area before comparing rooms

Already in Shinjuku? Start by checking the Kabukicho address of the branch you mean. Already in Shibuya? Check the Maruyamacho/Dogenzaka address and entrance directions. Do not assume a hotel labelled “Tokyo” is near your current station.

Save the exact Japanese name and address on your phone. If a map and the hotel’s official page disagree, resolve that before travelling. This edition does not keep the previous unverified Akihabara “best hotel” list; a familiar district name alone is not enough to establish a suitable property.

Shinjuku: two different Balian branches

Balian Resort Shinjuku Glamping
2-29-11 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
東京都新宿区歌舞伎町2-29-11
The official branch access page identifies this specific hotel and its published stay information. It is not the same branch as Shinjuku Island.

Balian Resort Shinjuku Island
2-22-10 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
東京都新宿区歌舞伎町2-22-10
The official access page lists front-desk check-in/payment. This is a useful counterexample to the claim that every love hotel is fully self-service.

The group has several Shinjuku branches. Match the full branch name and address, not just “Balian Shinjuku”. Facilities and room types need to be checked on the page for the room you are considering.

Shibuya: use the Maruyamacho address

HOTEL SULATA Shibuya Dogenzaka
2-2 Maruyamacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
東京都渋谷区円山町2-2
The official access page gives routes from Shibuya and Shinsen stations and identifies the entrance facing O-EAST. Use those directions alongside the exact address.

An official address verifies location, not the availability of a particular room tonight. Check the current room page for the facilities that matter to you, such as a non-smoking room or a specific bath. An image of one room does not establish what every room contains.

Check these points before choosing a room

Time: do you need a short rest or an overnight stay, and what is the actual checkout deadline?
Total: is the amount per room, for how many guests, and for today’s date?
Entry: what identification, occupancy and guest conditions apply?
Facilities: are the features you want in the exact room category?
Communication: can the hotel confirm the conditions in a way you understand?

If you are travelling alone or with a group, ask about your actual occupancy before assuming a room marketed for two people will fit your needs. Do not infer a universal policy from a hotel category or from another branch.

Prepare a screenshot of the hotel name, room, date and plan you are asking about. The question このプランは何時まで利用できますか? means “Until what time can we use this plan?” It helps clarify a practical detail without needing a long conversation.
